i'm planning to play with my small miniature collection this weekend.

Lewis is waiting for his dungarees and will be ready for a very small shop update on Tuesday 4 May.
have a lovely weekend x

Lucius #12 and #13
the orange bow tie one will be in the shop soon, the grey flowery one has gone to his new home already.
Anita, Alessandra's little girl, sent me this drawing of Lumi and Lewis. how sweet is that?
it made me want to see more drawings of my characters by children. if your children are keen to draw their own versions of lumi, lewis, lucius, babette or little ozzie, please email me their pictures and i'll display their work of art in a gallery on the blog.

Round two with chicken pox, little L. is now going through the itching and the scratching..

hello, thank you all for your comments in the previous post and sorry for my absence.
Last week was just an accumulation of illnesses that included me being stuck in bed for two days with the flu.
we got all a bit better this weekend so to celebrate we made one of my favourites, un gâteau au fromage blanc
Above are some lovely cards my friend Liz designed. she just opened a shop under the name of dicky bird and is making a special offer for you readers.
purchase 2 cards from her shop and get an extra one free! the offer is valid until next Sunday.
just mention the code FANTOME on your checkout, enjoy!

As for le train fantôme, i am hoping to work on a few dolls this week so i'll be back with my progress. have a nice week x

a nice long walk around Silbury hill in the English countryside of Wiltshire
a lovely bare and uncrowded landscape, this could have been the perfect end of the school holidays if Léon hadn't caught chicken pox a day before going back to school!

what a gorgeous weekend over here.
lots of fun indoors and outdoors starting with a visit to friends' studio (which is not in the boat!)

a Lewis for a talented lady who will soon be leaving Paris for a new home in Montreal. bon voyage Séverine!
the school holidays are nearly over and I am very much looking forward to the weekend.
have a good one everyone x

Forgot to mention that Louise and Gracia took some lovely photos of the postcards, have a look!

i re-arranged the inspiration board yesterday. other corners in the house require my attention but this somehow felt more urgent and more fun.

the staff from Couverture kindly sent me pictures of the dolls sitting in the window.
you can see more pics on their site homepage. love it!

i visited my friend in London on Saturday, i would have like to steal a few things from her flat.
hope you had a nice weekend x

In wales we went to an English civil war re-enactment.
Life and craft in the Seventeenth century were also re-created, i find the children's outfits very inspiring. the children also looked very natural.
it is school holiday time so things are going to be quiet (sort of) over here.
the next shop update will probably happen towards the end of the month. in the meantime there are still a few dolls available at Petit Deco + a new couple over at Couverture.

Scenes from the Easter weekend in Wales. it only rained briefly and we caught a nice rainbow in the middle of it.
it was nice to come back home and find the apricot tree in full bloom.
the other highlights of last weekend summed up in two words: Doctor Who.

this sailor top dress was fun to make. it is Lumi's size of course, a special commission for Couverture.
they wanted Lumi's dress to be inspired by Rachel Comey's sailor dress (here is an easy tutorial
on how to make a sailor's collar).
a new Lewis accompanied Lumi but i didn't have time to take any pictures before they left..
the apricot tree is blooming and reminds us it is Spring despite the greyness and the clouds. talking about clouds, Alessandra will have some lovely new ones in her shop tomorrow, go and check it out!
and the picture of Lucien showing the boys how to play the keyboard makes me smile, so here it is!
