more colours, prints and patterns this week
it takes me so long to make a dress for a doll but i am enjoying the process. the flower dress at the top is made entirely from vintage fabrics.
the bag made from tapestry fabric was a lucky find (£3!) at a car boots sale last weekend. it feels pretty old and special, inside was an old newspaper dated from the 1930s.
and a very much loved print by Julie Morstad, the colours are stunning and so are the intricate pattern details. you can buy the print here

thank you for your lovely comments about the new lumis below. they will be in the shop on Tuesday 12.. hopefully x

two new Lumi dolls in progress wearing skirts made from an old japanese kimono and from a Madagascan pareo (called lambahoany)

the roles are reversed at home at the moment. I am making a mess and Léon makes tidy lines..

oops, i didn't mean to be away that long from this space but i got caught up by the school holidays, the lovely weather and visits from friends..
the ikea sofa above was found in the street yesterday with a note saying 'please take me' so i did!
next, a pile of fabrics awaiting home projects
and the only sewing i did during the holidays is the boys' curtains, i have had the ikea fabric for more than a year, so relieved i can cross that off my list. making (lined!) curtains is such a daunting task ..
some new Lumi dolls in the making very soon x

hello! it is more than a week since the last shop update, thank you to all of you who came by. i would love to see pics of where and how your little train fantôme creatures live one day..

Above are some recent and not so recent online and charity shop finds.
at the very top, my favourite, a Welsh tapestry vintage bag. Here is a nice post on Welsh wool.
at the bottom a beautiful crochet mat from Séverine of Single crochet

Happy Easter everyone!
